DeHavilland Beaver is bearer of Great Stuff

Bryan opened the strange shaped package with a pretty good idea of what was in it.  Beautifully made Marten and Mink stretcher boards out of cedar.  Thank you Steve.
A heavy box of 2 dozen Belisle 120 Super X, Bryan's favourite Marten trap.
Much needed new fine oil paint brushes and some new oil paints.  Vikki's brushes are 30 to 40 years old and the fine ones are down to two or three sable hairs.   Most people don't realize that good oil paint brushes are made of Marten.

Wonderful salad stuff, 4 dozen eggs, Newspapers.

Now Lea's Stamp is in 5th place... gaining on 4th.

DeHavilland Beaver... The work horse of the Bush

The Pilot dropped off the crew on the heli pad Bryan had packed in front of the Lodge and then taxied back out to the strip .... but now he had to go off the packed strip and turn around.  Boy, was that engine roaring and the snow was flying...  and look at the overflow he was going thru.

If you look real hard you can see the big Lodge down the far away shore on the right of center.

Now with going thru that overflow and then sitting for 4 1/2 hours it was glued to the strip.  We could see Chris pumping up the skiies to try to break the bond.  Then his engines were roaring, snow was flying behind him and still no movement.  Finally it broke free and off they went.

Remember to keep voting.  Only 7 more days of this...   push the 5th heart for Bryan's granddaughters Stamp design

Anxiety Builds... Company is hard on Bush people

Even though Vikki is really happy a plane is coming in, she finds herself wearing out the floor.  "Good Grief, people are coming!"  It takes it's toll on her emotions. Constantly listening for the coming plane.   Finally she went and took a Equate (Gravel) pill.  Bryan isn't here but he is coming. (Remember we've been out here alone since the beginning of Sept.)
They were suppose to met at the hanger at 10 am.  It's a 45 to 55 minute flight.  Vikki went out and warmed up her little Tundra and kept listening.  The Beaver DeHavilland came in so quietly she didn't hear it til it was right in front of the cabin.  On the Icom hand radio she said "I didn't even hear you coming, I looked and there you were."  Chris the pilot replied... "Oh I can be quiet when I want to.  Didn't want to scare those Mountain Goats behind the Lodge."

Friends....  please keep voting for Bryan's granddaughter Lea's Canada Post Design...  Vote every time you look at your computer.    Push the 5th star and it will say Thank You

Beaver DeHavilland Flying in today

Vikki was up at 8 and hooked up the generator.  Got the computer up and running.  Called Chris on Skype.  "-7 , light winds from the east.  High overcast with lots of blue sky.  I can see all the tops of the big mountains.  It looks like it is a good fly day here.  Hope it is the same there.
You should be able to land on the lake air strip, taxi over to the heli pad Bryan laid in front of the big Lodge, let the crew off and then taxi back over to the strip.  See you soon"
The Taku River Tlingit crew are coming in to shovel off the big Lodge roof.

Please keep voting.  Lea is in 5th spot and is shortening the gap to 4th.  Push the red heart on the right and it will say Thank You
