This Wolf is just 200 feet away from Vikki. It has found a old piece of dead Salmon in the frozen ice. Vikki called out to it to see if it would raise it's head. Her voice echoed in the Mountains and that Wolf didn't care.
Snowed 2" this morning. First snow for along time. Bryan is heading back to camp this morning by quad. He's finished trail cutting for the week. He has to get back here before the big snow comes. As Vikki looks out of the window right now she can see the snow starting again.
I know its a wolf but it does look very much like a dog. I like the pure black coloured wolves- they have a nice look.

ReplyDeleteVery nice Vikki, when I see a wolf I usually check them out with a different set of len's, mounted in both ends of a Leupold 3.5 X 10 scope. Then I grab the camera.
ReplyDeleteMinnesota's wolf season started this past weekend. Thirty-nine wolves were taken in the northern part of that state. I believe they were taken by baiting with deer carcasses. A trapping season follows for them. It's very controversial but I've seen quite a few timber wolves even in the middle of the state. Of course the coyotes are out of control.
